Located at 273 W. Bute Street in the historic Freemason District, this house was built in the late 1800’s for Joseph W. Perry, a local cotton factor and dry goods merchant. It is one of four remaining wooden structures in the Freemason district. The Second Empire style house features a mansard roof, dormer windows, and cast iron fencing.
The house was converted to one and two bedroom apartments and includes water and sewer.
